Periodically, I come across a friend, family member, co-worker or acquaintance who I feel could use an extra hand in life, and a little less stress in that hard time. This page will talk about Fundraisers that I am currently working on, as well as past fundraisers too.

Cedar Therapeutics Fundraising
Please consider donating to this wonderful Cedar family. A little note from her sons.
Our mother, Terri Skingle was recently diagnosed with a terminal case of Stage IV Adrenocortical Carcinoma. As surgery is not an option, we have sought out alternative treatment methods and came across a cancer treatment center down in Tijuana called the Immunity Therapy Center. After doing extensive research and reaching out to the doctors/personnel as well as previous survivors who have received treatment at the center, our family has decided that it is our best option to help our Mom through our battle. Not only has she always been the best mother my brother and I could have thought possible, she is truly an amazing, giving, thoughtful, philanthropic and caring person who has always gone above and beyond for everyone. She is my Mom, my best friend, a loving wife and a dear friend to so many others. Now it is our turn to give back to her so we urgently ask for your help in our time of need as time is not on our side.

As many of you know, I am a big time, dog lover. I would like to share this post all with you. The hope is to help this family pay for their veterinary bills.
Here is the story……
I have some long term friends who desperately need some help. Their names are Preston, Angela, and their puppy, Timber.
Timber managed to escape the property, and was hit by a car at the top of the malahat beside the gun range. They are trying to keep their puppy alive and pay for all of the vet bills, but lack the funds to do this.
They are very active members in the gun club and always seem to be helping in fundraising. I’m hoping to help them get the word out.
They actually live on the property of the range. Angela is an employee of the Victoria Fish & Game Protective Association, and she is running the Victoria Fish & Game Banquet Fundraiser on March 4th. Timber is currently at the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital
Updates: Timber is doing great again, and has been enjoying life as a puppy!! This fundraiser is closed.
Thanks for all of the help!!

Cedar Therapeutics is proud to announce that we are joining forces with The North Cedar Fire Department. We are supporting and promoting women’s health and the achievements of women, by helping to raise money with the sale of North Cedar Fire Department’s t-shirts for the month of October.
The money raised will be going towards the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation, who are currently fundraising for a new Digital Mammography Machine. Here is a link to the foundations page if you want more information:
You can purchase a t-shirt ($25 cash) or make a donation at the clinic Monday- Thursday. Just give us a quick call at 250-802-1228 before you arrive. This way we can be sure to have a moment to help you out with your purchase. You can also pick one up when you are here for your massage!!
Thank you to all the people who donated food and money to our food hamper drive. We raised $57.00 and a box of food. As promised, we gave away a free 30 minute massage to John R. Thanks to all the donations, we also gave an additional $25.00 gift certificate to Luke S. Thanks again!!!
From November 1st, 2014 until December 20th, 2014 TRMT will be collecting non perishable food items. For every piece of food that you bring in, you will be able to enter yourself into our draw for a FREE 30 minute Massage session.
Thank you for all of the food donations. The winner of the free 30 minute massage was L. Skingle. Congratulations!
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to talk to you about a true and dear friend of mine. Her name is Devon Jones and she is 32 years old, recently married to Mike Jones, has a wonderful son. She has been a RMT for approximately 2 years. In Oct of 2012, she was diagnosed with Leukemia and was rushed off to Vancouver from their home on Pender Island. She is currently in and out of the hospital on a daily basis and is fighting for her life. Sadly, she came down with C-diff (which is an awful bacterial infection) and ha recovered from that. Both her and her husband quit their jobs to make the move. As of July 2013, Devon has just received a bone marrow transplant and will be in the hospital for at least 100 days fighting to get better. They are in need of money for all the medications and living expenses.
For every massage treatment in the month of June 2013, Jennifer personally donated $8 of that directly to Devon and her family.
From all of the treatments booked, and donations made, we managed to raise $1025.00 to give to the Jones family!!!
Thank-you to all of the wonderful clients and friends for your donations and kind words. It’s never easy knowing a friend who is going through something like this, and I’m sure it would be a much harder strain on the family. This money will hopefully take off some of those extra stresses at this difficult time.
